I kept my fingers busy :)

Covered a Nirvana song; that's me singing it over the initial hook to Will.I.Am's hopeful anthem "Yes We Can".

I remixed some of The Cure's "Close to Me" with M.I.A.'s "Pull Up The Poor". There's a twee cameo by Animal Crossing's Totakeke for good measure :3

I fiddled with the Beatie Boy's upbeat anthem "We Got The", and I mixed Kanye West's "Love Lockdown" over White Gold's ode to milk, "Is It Me, Or Do You Love My Hair?"

I made a video for that last one here: "Milk Lockdown"

Obama!

Oh yeah, here are the lyrics to the two original songs.

Be Still

It's never going to be the dream - but that's okay
'Cause when you dream, your eyes are closed
And I'd rather walk than fly
Who wants to live in such a hurry

It's okay to burn in the sun
And it's okay to go outside
And I don't mind that you're afraid
Because i love that you tried

And it's okay to be still

And I know it's hard to stay awake - and that's alright
'Cause when you dream, you look like an angel
And I'd rather watch you fly
Who wants to die in such a hurry

It's okay to be angry
We can still fight, if you like
And I'd rather you told me the truth
But it's okay that you lied

And it's okay to be still

Venture

I can't venture far from this place
I have to be here when he returns

You know, when I look at your face
It feels so familiar

I'm expecting company
I'm expecting a friend

You kind of look like him
Your voice sounds the same

And it feels so familiar
When you whisper my name

But no, it can't be
No, you can't be

I don't know you anymore
I don't know you anymore

The one that I knew might still walk through the door
The one that I love might still love me some more
What have you done with the one that I adore

I can't venture far from this place
I have to be here when she returns

You know, when I look at your face
